The Dining Room, Wedmore is a vintage style tearooms/restaurant situated in the heart of the renowned village of wedmore.
In 878AD Alfred the Great famously burnt the cakes whilst seeking refuge in Wedmore but don’t worry here at The Dining Room we make all our own cakes and scones (without burning them!) on a daily basis.
We use vintage china at The Dining Room and you will always be met and served by our friendly staff.
We offer a wide range of breakfasts including a traditional full English breakfast, eggs benedict or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The lunch fare is all homemade – soups, quiches, pies and casseroles, together with salads, jacket potatoes, omelettes and sandwiches and paninis.
Of course a tearooms wouldn’t be a tearooms without afternoon tea! We offer four different afternoon teas, a Somerset savoury tea, a Somerset cream tea, afternoon tea or high tea all served on vintage cake stands and loose leaf tea is a must!
We are open 7 days a week, serving traditional and delicious roast lunches on Sundays.
We also have the cake corner at The Dining Room selling all your cake needs, we have boards, boxes, ribbons, cake toppers, flower sprays and cake tin hire.
